Fairly powerful in alcohol. Citrusy. Medium amber color with a slightly burnt yellow head. Comes in a growler. Good value during happy hour. can8ianben (913), Pasadena, California, USA

I would definitely order it again. Calhouns is a great place to have a pint and a bite to eat. maniac (2697), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2005 Growler. Medium amber color with offwhite head. Nose of pine and subtle citrusy hops, along with some astringency. Medium body. Flavors of grainy malt, nice hop bitterness, pine resin, caramel sweetness and tacky hop finish. Could have a bit more aroma hops for the nose and finish. The alcohol is right up there where I like for IPA’s-- a couple of these and yer feelin fine.... All in all I wish it were boosted a bit and more balanced. dmtroyer (415), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Good effort from the boys at Cally’s. Dark amber pour, slightly hazy with a smallish head. Relatively lightweight for an IPA, but appears more to their clientele. Decent hoppiness, a bit sweet for my tastes. Kinz (2220), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2004 Medium amber, nice creamy head. Aroma of pines. Flavor is aggressively hoppy, with concentrated notes of pine and resin. The body is just a hair thinner than I would prefer, needing just a bit more of a malty note to keep things balanced. But a nice hop kick to keep me happy. Thanks to Rob for hauling down the growler! bhanson (4), Dayton, Virginia, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 6, 2007 An enjoyable beer. It could be quite good if it were just a little more of everything. A little more hop flavor, a little more malt. As it is, it’s a nice beer, and I’d buy it again, but it isn’t the best example of an IPA out there.
