Commercial Description:
This robust porter has a deep mahogany hue. Its naturally dry and hoppy profile is accented by dark malt and chocolate overtones resulting from the addition of organic chocolate nibs.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark, dark brown with a tan head. Loads of espresso, earth and meatiness in the nose. Body follows with just the slightest presence of cocoa. This is by far the best chocolate porter I have had (Legend being the worst) and I have to say they hit the nail on the head with the amount of chocolate, being almost unnoticeable. Cally’s does a really good porter.

Great beer, big thanks to maniac. Great chocolate and malt blend, with a light kick in the ending. Smooth mouthfeel.

Growler, courtesy of maniac. Aroma is roasty, pleasant. Black, touch of red at the edges, nice tan head. Roasty flavor. As it warmed, a very faint bit of chocolate appeared on the finish. There was quite a bit of coffee and espresso flavors present as well. Full bodied. Nice stuff.
