bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Aug 12, 2007 (Note: This may or may not be in the correct forum; I’ve contacted RateBeer admins regarding creating a new page based upon the beer the brewmaster gave me. / Brewed under the name "Cally’s Gold". Style: Muncher Lager/Helles.) On tap at the Microfestivus ’07... Orange-amber hued pour, with a nicely retentive head that leaves thick lace. The nose is a balance of hops and light malt. On the tongue, nuts and biscuits follow an initial sweet malt front. The finish is of earthen hops, and lasts a decent time. This has a nicely round body and a slick mouthfeel... goes down easily, and has drinkability. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 15, 2007 on tap-pours a thin white head and straw color. Aroma is light grain, faint light hops. Taste is light grain, faint light hops-some sweetness. Light body. Crisp. Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Jul 8, 2005 Pale gold, slight head fades totally. No discernable aroma. Smooth in the mouth, light corn flavor, but not really objectionable. Very faint bitterness on the finish. About as good as you can get with this style.
