Sweet caramel and tea aroma. Sweet tea flavor with a light caramel ending. alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA May 18, 2007 Draft at brewpup. Poured a reddish amber, with thin tannish head. Aroma of caramel with a slight hop hint. Flavor was a lot of caramel malt, some faint smokiness and some floral hops. Not great, but enjoyable. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Mar 4, 2006 Nice. It has some solid depth to a classic Irish Ale. There is nice hop presence, good amber colour, and decent aroma. I feel like it could be more, and it doesn’t really make me crave it, but it is solid. Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Mar 14, 2005 Big thanks to Rob for bringing a growler of this down after the big event! A beautiful beer, clear amber orange with a perfect, lasting light tan head. Aroma was of caramel, light floral hops. Flavor matched. Rather reminiscent of what Killian’s was before Coors got hold of it. As it warms, faint anise appeared, along with a slightly detrimental note of yeast, and some breadiness. Not a bad second attempt at a subtle style.
