Commercial Description:
Centuries of resistance to lager brewing in the German city of Cologne resulted in this unique ale that has certain "lager-like" characteristics. It is malty, golden ale with a clean character and slightly dry finish.

Finally got to sample this, thanks to Rob and his growler. Poured a brilliantly clear medium towards light gold, slight head. Aroma was faintly of clean malts. Flavor was straight clean malt and a very light touch of slightly floral hops. Dry finish. This was exactly what I expect from a Kolsch, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean the flavor was. Very well done.

Draft - When I envision a Kolsch I think of a Straw/yellow colored beer with a marshmellow thick, huge white head. This had the color correct. I real biscuit aroma with a grassy, citrus malty flavor. A nice dry finish.

Pale gold with a white head. Biscuity aroma with a touch of citrus. Sweet, citrusy flavor with a light grassy hop finish. Better than I expected from a brewpub Kolsch.

On tap at the brewpub. Pale gold colour. Gentle biscuity aromawith a touch of honey. Delicate and light on the palate, with some fruity, peachy notes. nicely refereshing, if a touch bland. Listed as 5.0% when I had it.

Very clear, very pale yellow. This one is moving in on light lager territory with the color. Lightly grassy, lightly lemony aroma. Lively palate, slight tingling hop bitterness in the finish. Light wheaty malt.
