Growler courtesy of Rob on 06/28/2008. Very clear pale golden body with a large frothy white head. Sweet grassy aroma with light clove. Clove and grain flavor with light banana. Medium body with moderately high carbonation and slight astringency.

Growler sample courtesy of Rob. Pours a clear medium yellow, a bit fizzy, slight head. Aroma is decidedly oriented to clove, no doubt about this one’s German yeast. Flavor is clove, light banana, and a light wheat body. Not bad at all.

A lovely beer. Clear and yellow, like a pale lager but with a much nicer flavor. Mouthfeel and flavor is more like a hefe - cloves, yeast, and citrus. It’s quite nice and would be delicious on a hot day up on their patio.

Draft at Cally’s. Listed on the board as "Kristal Weiss" but the brewcard says "Kristal Weizen". Small discrepancy, anyhow, pours almost clear yellow with a nose that is fairly subdued... I got mostly a light sweet malt. Body is interesting... struck me distinctly as peanuts, not sure why but I got loads of peanuts with some slight peanut butter. Spice is hardly noticeable. Solid, and unoffensive, a good beer.
