Jan 13, 2009 On tap at the brewpub on 08/15/2008. Dark black body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy light brown head. Roasty and malty aroma, some light caramel. Sweet creamy roast and chocolate flavor, some light caramel. Medium light body with moderately low carbonation.

Sep 7, 2008 On tap at brewery. Dark brown with a fizzy tan head. Roasty chocolate and grain aroma. Sticky mouth feel. Sweet chocolate and molasses taste with drip coffee notes to the finish.

Jul 12, 2008 Draft at Cally’s. I was pumped to see this on the board (in the middle of summer no less!) and finally get a rating on RateBeer! Pours dark brown (not quite black) with a tan to off-white head depending on how you hold it in the light. Nose is mostly roasted malts with the slightest suggestion of toasted nuts. Body is equally confusing, mostly some roasted but a salinity and some other weird disjointed flavors that drop off almost immediately to a short, dry finish. A good effort, just slightly dazed and confused.
