Jan 13, 2003 Very red, little tiny head. A bit of a caramel nose (imagine that!?) but a good deal more floral & bitter than any of rowland’’s others. Definite hop presence. Hints of vanilla followed by subdued floral notes & a nice bitter finish. Good balance of course.

Dec 29, 2002 It’s an ale, so I’m not surprised that its a little heavier and fuller than most of the Calumet lagers; but it’s missing the characteristic strong malty sweetness and light tanginess that I like in most of the Rowlands’ other beers. Stick to lagers, Bob!
