A little hole-in-the-wall bar with cool locals and outstanding beer. Every small town should have a bar like this. argo0 (6985), Washington DC, USA

Wasn't too fond of it at first, but its flavor developed more after a few sips. It kind of grew on me. I'm not a big fan of ambers, but this was very drinkable. brownalegirl (199), Fountain, Michigan, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2003 Here is my sad, sad story. I traveled all the way to Chilton as part of my holiday travels and the brewery was closed. Yup, no Calumet Dark for this pilgrim, this go round. Instead, I wandered aimlessly around Chilton until I came to a bar with two Calumet brews on tap - the barmaid seemed very suspicious and dismissive when I ordered them both simultaneously. This one was the lesser of the two - boring, basic malt with a little more body than most and a decent mouthfeel. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
