prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Jul 20, 2008 On tap at Cheers Bar down the street from the brewery in Chilton. Light golden amber color with a fast-dissolving head. Taste is medium in body and well balanced between citrusy zest and hops and the malt. Didn’t know this was a wheat until I came on here to rate it. No coriander or spice that I could detect, which tempts me to rate it down. But as a regular Ale it’s not bad. I honestly thought it was a Blonde or similar light ale. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Mar 28, 2008 Nice to see the brewmaster revived this historical beer after six years. On draught at the brewpub in downtown Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden amber brew with a thick off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light bready biscuit malt, a touch of citrus hops and dry yeast character. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of light bread and biscuit malt, some citrus zest. Finish is semi-dry with a good balance of biscuit malt and citrus zest. For a Witbier, it could use a little spice and even a touch of coriander. None detected in this detention ale. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Oct 21, 2002 The brewery considers it a Belgain White, but it didn’t have the same spice. It was very smooth though, and tasted a lot like a warm loaf of bread. It has a great pale and wheat malt backbone and a light hoppiness. The finish is very crisp and tasty. THE BEER BARON (275), Wisconsin, USA Jun 5, 2002 Not a bad beer. I prefer this one to many others but, it is not as good as the rest of the beer Rolands has to offer. The Friar99 (222), Wisconsin, USA Sep 22, 2001 Significantly lacking. The first Rowland’s brew that I thought that of.
