On draught at the brewery/brewpub in downtown Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and a white ring with some spotty lacing. Aroma of malty caramel malt, a touch of dry spice and the typical Calumet old musty cellar yeast scent. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of dry caramel malt, some yeast and hops character. Though most ice beers tend to give off a sweet caramel flavor in taste, I find this brew has a slightly dry aftertaste.
