JK (2944), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Sep 14, 2008 This is a very good pumpkin beer, one of the best I have had. Nutmeg and pumpkin pie aroma. Copper color. Pumpkin pie spice and flavor, lots of spice, nutmeg, cinnamon. Really full of flavor. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Sep 6, 2008 Tap @ brewpub. Hazy amber body. Pumpkin pie spice aroma. Good dry flavor - sort of a ’fest beer w/ pie spice added. Bracing hop bitterness in back - good stuff. Skyview (3973), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Sep 9, 2007 Updated: Sep 10, 2008On draught at the Calumet brewpub in Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear caramel-amber brew with a decent white head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, plenty of nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin and some grassy hops. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with dry malt and spicey nutmeg flavors. Finish is semi-sweet with more dry malt/pumpkin and nutmeg flavors. Bring on the autumn brews. This one is a good start of the new season.
The 2008 vintage Pumpkin Spice has more spice (nutmeg and cloves) compared to the 2007 vintage. A slight more dark wheat malt and pumpkin flavors. Yet still one of the better pumpkin beers out there.
