So instead of hanging with the hicks in Cheers I got the idea to hit up my good friend Bob Rowland for a couple of brews, since he was the only person in any of the bars in chilton that I actually new. I was trying various beers and asked Bob which one I should try and he smiled and said, "Rye." I was like, " Wow Bob your a poet, way to go!" Well once I got my beer I drank it and it was good. It was amberish in color and clear. Very tasty. I would recommend to everyone to try this beer and hangout with Bob. Bob wanted me to try some of his other beers, but I was kind of getting tipsy, so I said, "No Bob, It's Ok, I will be back later. I don't want to drive too drunk tonight." I hate Chilton hicks, especially all the old ones who hang out at cheers and drink shitty bud light. Well I guess it's like I always say, "I would rather drink good beer than hang out with stupid hicks who drink bud light at Cheers." The Friar99 (222), Wisconsin, USA

Not so sweet to my palate, but toasty and crisp. Not as dry as other roggens I’ve had, but way out in front as far as compexity. Very nice. 1FastSTi (2575), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2005 Pours to a nice copper color. Rye grains are prominent in the aroma. Light pepper. The flavor is dominated by rye. Good grass hops but I wish they’d dry hop the hell out of this beer. Touch of banana (probably not actually there). Toasted and roasted malts. Light touch of white pepper. A nicely made beer. The palate was medium bodied, smooth, and velvety. Skyview (4061), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

This brew pours a coppery brown color with an off-white small head. Nice lacing after the head retraction. Aromas include nutty bready, roasted grain and plenty of sweet pine. A very hoppy charged rye brew per se. At the palate some secondary tastes include bubblegum, and candy sugar. Very smooth and silky finish. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

This beer taste like whiskey, which is probably why I like it so much. Also, the older local I was talking to that was really cool loved it. GermanBrews76 (667), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2002 Hardly any carbonation at all, thin tight head. Rye in color, light brown/tan. Rye all over the nose, mildly sweet and toasty in nose and on tongue. Lots of rye. Super creamy mouthfeel in relation to the way it appears. As all of the Rowland’s brews, there is the nice caramel presence, pleasantly sweet, full bodied original beer.
