I know that sounds funny, but its a sweet scent. Clean brownish red color. Bittersweet flavors, caramel, grapefruit, butterscotch, seltzer. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, dry citrusy finish. Nice amber, went down easy.

MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 2, 2005 Lightly roasty malt aroma with some buttery notes. Dark amber-copper with decent cover of off-white head that lasts and leaves a light lace. Dark malt flavours up front with sweetness emerging towards the finish. Bitterness seems to be a combined effort of the dark malts and herbal hops. Medium-light body with fair carbonation. On tap at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Very dark amber with decent head retention...slightly roasty nose, also perhaps some diacetyl, but not enough to ruin it...light smokiness in the body, somewhat oily/nutty...almost a rancid quality, but really there’s little here, good or ill.
