Commercial Description:
Well balanced, medium-bodied, with a deep amber-red color, its complex palate covers all the bases. A maltycaramel sweetness is followed by notes of chocolate and a dry, slightly roasty finish, complimented by a touch of fruity, spicy hops.

There really is a chocolate taste in here! Much like Hershey’s milk chocolate. Sweet, flowery aroma. Smokey texture and flavor notes.

Quiet fascinating as the nose gave off hints of chocolate and oranges, but the body was full and started with brandy, chocolate and toasted malts, but once this beer really warmed up heavy black tea flavours came into play that gave the beer a smooth rounded finish as I would expect when drinking tea.

Dark ruby color and very malty aroma. NIce body with slight roasty malt flavor. Fits the Irish Amber style guidelines to a tee. I enjoyed this beer even though Irish Amber isn’t one of my favorite styles.

Cambridge seems to have some problems with classifying their beers. Definitely not your typical amber. Very dark, almost tough to distinguish it from much darker beers, with a thick, resilient head. Intense aroma and flavor. Chocolate, caramel, light fruitiness and smoky flavors accompanied by a strong, hoppy finish. Pretty good, I thought.

Amber-red colour with a thick head. Chocolatey aroma with caramel. Very toasty palate; dry & breadcrusty. Good balance.

On tap at the brewpub: Clear dark orange color, caramel and grains in the aroma, full and fizzy mouth feel. Ends sweet with a good taste and aftertaste. A nicely done amber ale.
