Deep and dark, full-bodied and robust, our Porter is crammed full of rich roasted malt character. With underlying notes of fruitness, caramel, and toffee, it finishes with a strong hop presence.

Pours an almost opaque black with ruby lining the edges. Nose is strong with chocolately roasted goodness. Flavor is slightly bold with coffee tones, but also an interesting infusion of hops at the end after the coffee hits you. Feel is silky over the tongue. Definitely drinkable. Smooth and pleasurable. This wont go down as the world’s greatest porter, but it’s a pretty good one overall.

Sampled @ the Cambridge brewing company with the Mad_Indian. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roast, coffee, and caramel. The flavor is roasted malts, caramel, and coffee. Good brew.

Sampled with Stegosaurus during our second Boston Tour. Served at Cambridge brewing. Black pour with coffee/ roast aroma. Same in the taste. Not much in imagination but it wasn’t horrible.

opaque brown, fine tan head, lots of lace, rich dry chocolate aroma, big body, rich chocolate flavor, lots of dry bitterness that leaves some chalky character in its wake, some sweetness comes in at the end to enrichen the chocolate and drive back some of the bitterness, but the initial impression remains

This dark porter has notes of caramel malt on the nose and the palate. You will get toasty notes of coffee and hop citrus on the end.

Sample from tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with an amber note with a light brown head. Dark roasted, coffee like malt notes. Coffee heavy malt flavour. Good long lasting bitter finish.

Draft @ CBC - Brownish black, tan creamy head. Deep cocoa-like nose gets underlying tones of burnt berry, roasted coffee, and hints of vanilla. Toasted milk chocolate flavors are balanced by a burnt coffee and smokey berry tone. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry bittersweet finish. Sessionable without a doubt and well crafted.

Dark brown body with a light-brown, creamy head. Fair lacing. Fully diminishing. Murky body. Aroma is of whole bean, dark roasted coffee with hints of bakers chocolate. Initial taste touches on sweet, but shifts to a bitter finish, moderately strong, with an average duration. Light to medium on the mouth, it has a texture between watery and creamy, with soft carbonation. Smoky taste, very drinkable. Reviewed on January 20th, 2007.
