chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Oct 5, 2004 Deep copper colour. Some toffee in the aroma. pale malt in the flavour, but a reasonable hop presence too, producing a good balance. Finishes dry, with plenty of bitter bite. A rather nice best bitter. Cask (gravity dispense) at Peterborough Beer Festival.
SilkTork (3939), Rochester, Kent, England Aug 26, 2004 Peterborough Fest. Toffee accented best bitter with apple notes and a darkly hoppy bite. A very nice premium bitter. Decent quality - though too bitter my my taste. Elements of Best and Premium mixed.
