Aroma has notes of paprika, seaweed, clove and acetone, with a gentle tartness. Soup up front in the mouth with an ugly, buttery, oily finish. Looks like 136.10 Hz didn’t do the trick (gimme a break with that, btw. Waste of time. If that’s what you feel you need to do to create a superior beer experience then you are doing it all wrong. I’m all for experimentation in brewing, but this pseudo-science BS should be saved for Tom Cruise and the church of Scientology).

Excellent ! j12601 (1261), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

Pouring at the Night of the Funk event in Boston. This one turned out to be one of the starts of the fest, but for me it had nothing to do with the beer. The hype and story around this was phenomenal. Tons of people talking about it both interested, and full of skeptical sarcasm. The story and method for the beer was quite neat. The beer itself was rather forgettable, pouring a just clear yellow, and smelling like oak and vanilla. A little acid, and a little mustard. Not a lot else though.

Tannic buttery Chardonnay aroma- mild odd phenols are there as well giving off a plasticy note over a green raisin fruity undertone. Creamy body- warming. Some mild vanilla flavor mesh with a buttery white wine vinousness and sweet oak. There’s an herbal note on the back. This is quite interesting, but I can’t say I liked it through and through. (Perhaps it’s because I’m sensitive to the diacetyl of the California Chardonnays). SuIIy (1448), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 10, 2009 In short: A fruity, slightly acidic, moderately-wild (barnyard/bretty) and very hoppy beer. Complex and refreshing. Kick-ass.
How: Tap at Boston Extreme Beer Fest 2009
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a small off-white head
In long: Very fruity with pineapple, peach, grapefruit. A light-medium brett-like presence gives a subtle but very enjoyable wild character to the beer. Barnyard feeling. A lot of grassy fresh hops. Strong tartness with a medium acidity. No alcohol presence at all. Very complex. Highly refreshing. The whole thing feels like a fruity acidic Bière de Garde. Very nice. Named after a mantra, a ritualistic simple sound that one repeats over and over according to his/her own personality. Mine is burp. Rciesla (3621), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
