Flavor is more malt than hops. The Friar Tucks in Peoria I sometimes get beer at tends to sell old stock. No date, but looks like I was foiled again. It had a little of-taste at the end.

Orange/citrus, lemon, and mild caramel flavour. Balanced, refreshing, sessionable. williamherbert (466), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 8, 2009 The color is a clear bright orange. Icy lace sitting at the top. See through. The lace sets it apart.
The smell is heavy bitter (fuggle) hops, that have that distinct chlorine aroma. Smells good. The hops are of the bitter, Euro variety. The hops are bitter, but softened.
Sweet brown ale flavor. Lots of added sugars. The sweetness is a bit off-putting. The hops are more apparent as it warms. Sweetness subsides; toffee and molasses come out.
Thick and a little chewy/chunky feel. Too sweet of a brown sugar taste. The bitter hops are not a balance, just the opposite extreme. Drinkable, not a crave-worthy brew in my book. Headbanger (1587), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Aroma of hps, malt, and caramel. Taste of the same with a bit of dryness and slight metallic. This medium bodied brew goes down smooth and it quite tasty. Nice beer. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Poured a light copperwith a thin white head. Aroma was a bit hoppy, more on the pine side of things than the citrus. Flavor was god. A bit malty, a bit hoppy, balanced, but not overwhelming. Decent beer. Nice easy drinker. bubbleflubber (893), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Copper pour into the glass, with a tiny cap that leaves light soapy lace. The nose is of caramel, Crystal malt and some yeast. The flavors are somewhat biscuity, with an initial malt sweetness, a metallic twinge on the mid-palate, and a souring yeasty finish. Nothing overtly complex about the mouthfeel or substance, but goes down easily enough, and is quite tasty. Nicely integrated, and a good offering. Much more reminiscent of an APA than a Golden Ale, but I appreciate it nonetheless. jgb9348 (2499), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Crystal clear light copper coloured body with a faint golden tint and a thinnish white head. Aroma of cardboard, pale malt, a very light hop aroma and some fake sugars. Light-bodied; Sharp twang of citrus, blood, metal and a funky malt taste. No hops at all in the taste - this one is a clear loser. Aftertaste shows the horribly bittering malt followed by an even worse aftertaste. Overall, a very bad beer - definitely not worth trying at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverages in Albany, New York on 24-December-2005. brianprentiss (475), Portland, Oregon, USA
