Oxidation nose, walnut, madeirisation, biscuit, liqueur. Very biscuity taste, cookie malt & again some liqueurish notes. Quite empty, in fact. Alcohol obvious, not burning, medium bodied, rather slick. The age seems - together with the fact that it made it into my cellar - to hint at Biertoren. The total emptiness, as well as the treacherous sticker "fast sale" speaks otherwise. I fear Huyghe after all. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Appearance: hazy apricot color, underneath a short, slight, though terrifically bubbly white head.
Aroma, musty, sour, citric, a slice of lemon, and a drizzle of orange zest, yeasty, with a brilliant hoppy twist, almost champagne-like in effervescence.
Taste: a blast, right-off of hopp-tude, but theareafter, the flavor is mild, though that blast returns with every subsequent sip. Flavor continues to be spicy, citric, and kicky, though light in body with a medium, uneventful finish. Despite certain disappointments, the flavor never lacks a recurring spicy tinge.

Not sure if this is labelled the same as the one I had but anyhow... Very smooth, yellow Belgian lager, which is pleasnt without ever being challenging or exciting. The flavour is of butter or cake mixture, and slides down the throat without hitting any tastebuds. Not particularly fizzy, or different from many other brews. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic
