Dark amber brown clear with large foamy off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy watery body with active carbonation. Alcohol-carbonic burn. Starts medium sweet, with light brown sugar, caramel malt, and some fruitiness. Vapory carbonic tang, not quite sour, but almost salty or light acid. Finish is medium sweet with medium fruity hops. After is sweet-dry, with a bit of chalky bitterness. Alcohol. Cooked vegetable or some cardboard notes. First bottle I’ve gotten where the beer was filled right to the top of the rim - no headspace. Don’t know if this had any ill effects. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA
