fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 5, 2008 2008-07-19, bottle, 7-5-8-5-16=41 It has a light amber color, and a big rocky head. Very nice hop aroma, malt flavor, partially sweet, strong caramel flavor and strong bitterness. The hopping is excellent, resiny. The final too is balanced and long. One of the best beers in BC so far.
2008-07-17, draught at The Alibi Room, Vancouver, as Indian Head IPA, 7-3-7-4-14=35 Hazy blond color. It has a nice hop aroma, but that fades out quickly. Not much malt flavor, but for sure a strong bitterness, with quite good hop oils. Pleasant. Hazel_Rah (276), Summerland, British Columbia, Canada Jul 19, 2005 Updated: Feb 4, 2007Poured a coppery gold with a rocky head. Aroma of sweet malt and hops. Not overpowering. Crystally malt, almost chocolatey. The hops seemed a bit one-dimensional, could do with more late additions or dry hopping or something.
2007: They’ve ramped up the hop bitterness and bouquet and, out of a "pig", this is now one of my favourites. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Aug 18, 2004 My favourite of the Cannery line. A nice copper like copolur with a great creamy white head. Aroma is hoppy and slightly lemon like. The flavour is nice and bitter with a nice malty balance. A nice bitter finish. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium Sep 27, 2005 Clear amberish beer with a very little hazyness and with a creamy white-beige froth leaving a nice lacing. This beer has a complex nose with touches of nuts, céréals, dry brown bread, Hors d’age Calvados from Roger Groult, some fruits and loads of refined hops. The hoppyness is well melted together with the soft malty caracter of the beer. Taste is smooth and has allures of apricot tart, butter and nut cake. In the second fase the taste is turning dry and the fine hops are taking the upperhand. This beer has a good drinkability and a very fine afthertaste. Thanks Joris for sharing this one with me. dwyerpg (2094), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Sep 18, 2008 Not much to the aroma, but this looks absolutely wonderful. Huge sustainable head. This has a nice up front hop bite, just like it says. Bitterness lasts fairly long. Pretty good.
