MartinT (4330), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 3, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Leafy, orangey hops swing around an anemic honeyed maltiness, leading to a harsh hop bitterness which overshadows any cereal provided by this underachieving (tired?) India Pale Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the clear honeyed blond.
-Watery, mineral passerbys bother the tasting experience at hand.
-Carbonation is very soft and detached.
-Some candied sweetness is redolent of fruity honey.

glkaiser (911), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 12, 2008 On tap in BC. Solid bitterness, but lacking any "wow" hops. Not bad, but far from exciting. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 5, 2008 2008-07-19, bottle, 7-5-8-5-16=41 It has a light amber color, and a big rocky head. Very nice hop aroma, malt flavor, partially sweet, strong caramel flavor and strong bitterness. The hopping is excellent, resiny. The final too is balanced and long. One of the best beers in BC so far.
2008-07-17, draught at The Alibi Room, Vancouver, as Indian Head IPA, 7-3-7-4-14=35 Hazy blond color. It has a nice hop aroma, but that fades out quickly. Not much malt flavor, but for sure a strong bitterness, with quite good hop oils. Pleasant. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 4, 2008 Objectively speaking:
A very lean IPA which apparently suffered a lot from the 1+ year of age on it.
I like:
It just felt like a failure, a very timid rendition of the style with unpleasant edges.
I dislike:
Very weak maltiness with dominating dull bready features, rather sweet, but without uplifting much malt-derived flavours at all. Tired citrusy hops stay rather timid. Strong mineral edges, salty even. Loose mouthfeel. (Rating #1434)
