beastiefan2k (1097), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Feb 23, 2008 Clear dark amber color with a small sticky head that never really goes away and just turns into a surface covering lacing. Aroma is strong malty caramel. There are also some light fruit punch hops at the back end of the aroma. Taste is a bit watered down caramel sweetness with some light bark. Smell: Fairly faint aroma of flowers and a vague pale maltiness.
Taste: More of that mild pale maltiness with only a hint of sweetness. Floral, spicy hops with a mild bitterness, though all quite light. Clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Somewhat watery mouthfeel.
Drinkability: A tolerable brewpub amber ale. shrubber85 (2462), Wallhalben, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany Mar 3, 2006 Tap. Light sweet cherry and malt aroma. Reddish tan color with small head. Sweet cherry and malt flavor with light hops finish. Well-blended. beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA Jan 24, 2006 05 GCBC. Amber with a hint of red and clear. Some caramel malty aromas and flavors, but everything was tainted by buttery diactyl unfortunately.
