cgarvieuk (2386), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 18, 2008 Cask at GBBF 08 ... Red/Brown ... watery roast nose ... light easxy roast ... little smokeyness. thebeertourist (1799), Oslo, Norway Aug 11, 2008 Cask at GBBF 08. Dark brown with a semi-creamy tan head. Good roasted malts aroma. Chocolate, coffee and a small portion of fruit flavours. Highly likeable. harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 7, 2008 Cask gravity at Cambridge BF 08. My last beer before I hit the Oakhams Oblivion like a fist of an angry god as Tom would say. Very dark brown with thin beige head. Vey drinkable mild. Not overly roasted. I mean it’s a mild. It’s ok, decent, ruby mild style malts, no real hop presence except a little on the finish. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 1, 2007 Chesnut coloured. Off-white lasting 1cm cover. Nutty nose with lots of black grape and blackberry fruitiness. Flavourful ale that develops a certain bitterness as much from malts than hops. Buckwheat honey chimes in as well while the herbal hops finish the dryout effect. A globally dry mild that is far from being the most exciting, but remains a pleasant drink.
