Received one of the last remaining 22-oz bombers from bartender who had one of these stashed in the back room cooler. Pours a semi-hazy copper amber brew with a nice off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some apple and some mild tart berry character. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of roasted caramel malt, some citrus hops, hard fruits and a touch of yeast. Finish has a semi-sweet apple and caramel aftertaste that quickly changes to a light citrus bitter finish. A lot of personality character in this dunkler bock and quite enjoyable.

[1080-20080201] Bottle (c/o GregClow, w/ blankboy, jerc, mds). Earthy malt grains aroma hints at wet hay. Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Flavour of fruity apple blossom grains with a nice semi-sweet finish. Thin medium body. Seems off or bland or both.

Bottle shared with jerc, mabel, GregClow & mds -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours a hazy copper with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma’s sweet and toasty with caramel malt. Flavour of light caramel malt, somewhat sweet and with some mild hops in the finish. Medium bodied. Nothing bad here, it’s decent, it’s just a bit dull.

Bottle. Copper-red with a medium-sized white soapy head. The aroma has light smokiness and some caramel and toasty notes. Flavour is mostly sweet and toasty. There isn’t much to this really and I got a little bit of butteriness in the finish.

2008-02-01. Bottle. Dark amber brown body with a small white head. Modest aroma of toasty doughy malt and hop accents. Sweetish flavour, light earthy toasty malt character. (6+) Slightly fuller than average palate. Decent, but the earthy notes are a bit of a turn off for me.

Bottle shared with jerc, mabel, blankboy & mds - my bottle. Dark copper with a small head. Aroma is malty, with notes of caramel and toast. Medium bodied. Sweet, clean malt starts the flavour, with a bit of fruitiness coming in the middle, and a mildly hopped finish. Good, if unexciting.

Copper Bock-on tap-pours an off white head with bubbles and cloudy copper color. Aroma is medium malt/grain-caramel, medium fruit-some apple. Taste is medium malt/grain-caramel, medium fruit-some apple- a bit tart, faint hops, yeasty. OK carbonation.
