kiwifly (2), Mosgiel, Dunedin, New Zealand does not count Jun 19, 2008 a very poor beer used to be called wards beer and going down the gurgler until they changed the name to canterbury draught then all the guys in christchurch thought it was great thisk buggers in canterbury. Kiwi_Jonno (56), Christchurch, New Zealand Jun 10, 2008 Updated: Aug 18, 2008On Tap. Faint malt/caramel aroma. Poors a amber colour. Can’t comment on head size as keg pours a huge head. Decent head retention though. Typical NZ "Druaght" beer, weak malty taste, with a faint and very short caramel after taste. Drinkable, but there are better "Draught" beers out there if it must be this style. RichardGretton (2682), Leicestershire, England Apr 4, 2008 Can in New Zealand. Amber beer with a light head. The aroma is plainly dry and the flavour is creamy and dry. Overall a very average beer. HughConway (261), USA Apr 4, 2008 Draft at some non-descript pub west of Christchurch. Pours golden with white head. Malty aroma, easily drinkable all day. Papsoe (10510), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 6, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Credited to Ward’s Brewery - presumably the oldest in NZ. Clear, deep golden with a dense, creamy, shaving foam style head that leaves lumpy laces. Sweet aroma of malt and caramel. Medium-bodied, a little low in carbonation and cloyingly sweet. Almost sticky with all its caramel notes. No bitterness. Standard NZ Draught. 260108
