Commercial Description:
A blueberry lambic brewed with Danish blueberries exclusively for Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, Denmark.

There are two different vintages available that, because of the length of time the berries soaked in the beer, have turned out rather differently:

2005: The berries soaked in the beer too long leaving an almost vinegarish lambic with the well-known Cantillon tartness. The color is hazy orange. Will be sold in extremely limited quantity.

2007: A more fruity and not as tart lambic as the 2005 vintage. Beautiful deep red colored.

A picture report of the making of the 2007 batch can be seen here: http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2095147806

Vintage 2007, I had it March 08. The color is very beautiful deep red and the head is huge, creamy, slightly pink and it leaves a thick lace. The aroma is quite sour, but not quite as sour as many Cantillion, and it doesn’t sting in the nose. It has notes of barnyard, horse blanket, damp basement and all the typical brett notes. The blue berries are not found, but berries, yes. The flavour has a dry sourness, and the same notes as in the aroma are found here too. The finish is dry.

Bottle sampled at RBSG ’08. Pours with a slightly cloudy, rose body topped by a thin to medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sour and tart with nice underlying blueberry that adds some sweetness. Light bodied, crisp and dry.

I have finally tried this beer, but that was a huge disapointment. I cannot understand why it is rated so high. The aroma is sour and full of berries. It looks like wine with a small head. Flavor is very sour not good, but it also has a lot of berry taste and a sweet aftertaste.
