Commercial Description:
A blueberry lambic brewed with Danish blueberries exclusively for Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, Denmark.

There are four different vintages available that, because of the length of time the berries soaked in the beer, have turned out rather differently:

Batch 1: 2005: The berries soaked in the beer too long leaving an almost vinegarish lambic with the well-known Cantillon tartness. The color is hazy orange. Will be sold in extremely limited quantity.

Batch 2 & 3: 2007: A more fruity and not as tart lambic as the 2005 vintage. Beautiful deep red colored.

Batch 4: 2009: Maybe the most fruity batch so far with an extremely well balance between the fruit and the funk!

Batch 5: 2009: Extremely soft mouthfeel with a distinct tartness.

Bottle, sampled at RBSG 08, with thanks to ironchefscott. Pours a pinkish-red with a small white head. Huge sweet, ripe, blueberry aroma with sour notes. Taste is more sour / tart blueberry. Lingering sour blueberry flavors. Delicious and very refreshing, could easily drink a lot of this one.

75cl bottle from olbutikken, copenhagen. 2007 vintage. Deep red colour, red berry nose not so much blueberries more a bit like cherries to my nose. the blueberries only really come up in the after taste. good, smooth well carbonated mouthfeel. not as sour as some. lovely stuff indeed.

Deep red-purple in colour with a long lasting thin pink coloured head, excellent lacing. The aroma is very sour, quite tart, the blueberries work very well, light sweetness comes and goes, lightly acidic. The flavour is sharp, acidic and dry, good blueberry sweetness, grape skins, excellent Cantillon funk. Sweet, tart and dry mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes long, dry, tart and juicy.

Wow, fantastic stuff. Unbelievable aroma thats right up there with Soleil de Minuit and Tyrnilambic. I see this aging very, very well as the blueberry flavour is quite strong. Nice job Jeppe, you have made lambic history.

750ml bottle obtained in a trade with footbalm, thanks Eric.

RBSG 2008. Thanks to Jason for this sample. Glowing red body covered by a smooth pink head. Sour and acidic as expected, tart blueberry nose. Very dry throughout with a soft blueberry flavor infused throughout. One of the best Cantillons+fruit i’ve had, blueberry seems to work nicely, more mellow and doesn’t seem to accentuate the acidity as much.

Thanks to Papsoe for sending and pepsican for sharing! 750ml bottle. Batch 2, vintage 2007. Poured a murky purple-orange color with a pinkish head. Lots of yeasty bread dough in the aroma accopanied by light blueberry and an occasional whiff of formaldehyde. Odd, but true. Medium bodied with moderate to high acidity. Again, very pleasant yeasty/dought flavor with an intensely acidic, mouthwatering unripe blueberry accent. I also got some funk and a hint of sulfur. A wild ride, literally and figuratively.

Papsoe, seriously thank you for this. Hazy red pour with a reddish white head. Tart blueberry and oak aroma. Flavor is very similar, mildly dusty and good god is that sour. Very tart finish with just a touch of sweetness that..."balances(?)" it out. This was batch 2 from 2007.
