Good retention. The funky, fruity nose releases notes of horse blanket, wet leather, blackberries, currants and strong, sharp cheese; followed up by restrained, not-quite-ripe blueberries. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Medium lactic sourness alongside mildly sweet, almost-ripe wild berries and funkiness. Tart, fruity, funky finish. Unusual and world class! juiceisloose (671), Windermere, Florida, USA

Just a great looking beer. The aroma is of sour blueberries and raspberries with some funk in there as well. The flavor is mostly sour but the blueberriers really push their way forward along with some of that funk in the there as well. Medium bodied with a nice carbonated feel to it that leads to long sour fruit finish. This one was really nice, and a pleasure to be able ot try. argo0 (6939), Washington DC, USA

Taste is mild sweet, fairly sour (though not by Cantillon standards), some blueberry, wet hay/horseblanket, light lemon. Light-medium body, medium acidity. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Has the look of dark red wine, with a medium dark purple color showing pink at the edges of the glass. Some glasses were poured with a billowy purplish head, while others had only a small film. First impressions of the nose are starchy cranberry skins and a bit of a blackberry stem/hair scent, a raw fruit smell that is rare to find in beer. After time a bit of an unflavored yogurt character develops in the nose. First taste is light bodied, pillowy dried cranberries, with some dry, puckery, tannic black cherry and blueberry skins, with a decent dose of yogurt tartness and mild funk developing over time. kmweaver (2471), Sebastopol, California, USA

Pours a murky, red raspberry color with a grape tinge; fluffy pinkish head with medium-bubbled lacing. Plenty of sweat, salt, horseblanket, and tart reddish fruit in the aroma; also an inky, pitty / vinegar note that adds something quite pleasant here; the blueberries finally come through at a distance. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: nice tartness and red fruits / blueberries; a fair amount of fruit skins, pittiness, and deep inky fruit juice; some funk and horseblanket and lightly wooded; not a huge amount of fruit length on the palate; medium finish showing inky blueberries and tart citrus and fruit pits; a bit of bread and funk. ryan (1778), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

Deep, dark red/maroon with a large reddish pink head, fading to a cover. Funky sour nose with band aid, light berry, horseblanket and cheese. The flavor is moderately sour, lightly sweet with berry, melon, lemon, lactic acid, leather and oak. Medium body is soft with moderate carbonation. Nose is disappointing, but everything else shines. 1FastSTi (2568), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

The beer pours to a glowing peachy amber body with a thin white head. The aroma is super complex. Gueuze-laden Cantillon with tons of barnyard and funky cheese feet and blueberries. The flavor is amazing. Tart and funky sour fruits, feet, barnyards, and sourness. Amazing! So very complex. Super tart palate with a perfect puckering sourness. A near perfect delight!!!!! Unclear burgundy blue/red, pink-ish tan head. Murky warm berry aroma, mint, cake, tom-cat walking upwind, and a bit of something that reminds me of the earthy oxidizing iron smell of an old farm tractor. Powerful mouth-drying tannins. Berry skins in an interesting dark way that makes me think of iron filings. A nice level of restrained tartness under the tannin. Interesting and very unique. It was a privilege to try this rare beer, and a big thanks to henrikb for the bottle!
