Commercial Description:
A blueberry lambic brewed with Danish blueberries exclusively for Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, Denmark.

There are four different vintages available that, because of the length of time the berries soaked in the beer, have turned out rather differently:

Batch 1: 2005: The berries soaked in the beer too long leaving an almost vinegarish lambic with the well-known Cantillon tartness. The color is hazy orange. Will be sold in extremely limited quantity.

Batch 2 & 3: 2007: A more fruity and not as tart lambic as the 2005 vintage. Beautiful deep red colored.

Batch 4: 2009: Maybe the most fruity batch so far with an extremely well balance between the fruit and the funk!

Batch 5: 2009: Extremely soft mouthfeel with a distinct tartness.

2007 vintage bottle sampled on 10/13/07: Pours a transparent brigh ruby red with almost purple hues and a nicely-lacing froth of airy pink head. Big, sweet fruity tart blueberry and cherry nose has a touch of oak. Body starts with some thinner, faint sweetness, but big acidic tartness and light fruity notes. Has very good sweet and tart balance throughout. Quite unique and enjoyable.

Vintage 2005. Off orange pour tiny white head not much lace. Delicious mouth watering aroma, tart fruit hints of leather touch of oak and wet hay. Well coated cheek puckering palate. Sour berry flavor over a dry oaky finish hints of leather, some tannins, earthy tones... quite complex, very delicious.

[Bottle in Dublin - thanks for sharing this Niels! (cellar)] Huge long lasting pink head. Very thick for a fruit lambic. Tarty aroma with a hint of blueberries. Flavor is sour with the usual barnyard lambic notes. Extremely well balanced with nice bluberry present. Finishes in a nice Cantillon sour way. Excellent! Brilliant done Jeppe...

2007 Courtesy boboski. Pours raspberry red with a thin reddish white head. Sour berry aroma, not big, very subtle. Dry blueberry sour taste. Wonderful carbonation. Finishes dry with a hint of the sour berry. Very light mouthfeel, very exotic and different.

Sampled at the famous backroom tasting at the Cellars, Roseville. Can’t remember which vintage it was. It ws wonderful. The aroma was soured berry. Years ago I would have vomited and dumped this out but now I just can’t help sniffing and sniffing. I love sour fruit.
