Commercial Description:
A blueberry lambic brewed with Danish blueberries exclusively for Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, Denmark.

There are four different vintages available that, because of the length of time the berries soaked in the beer, have turned out rather differently:

Batch 1: 2005: The berries soaked in the beer too long leaving an almost vinegarish lambic with the well-known Cantillon tartness. The color is hazy orange. Will be sold in extremely limited quantity.

Batch 2 & 3: 2007: A more fruity and not as tart lambic as the 2005 vintage. Beautiful deep red colored.

Batch 4: 2009: Maybe the most fruity batch so far with an extremely well balance between the fruit and the funk!

Batch 5: 2009: Extremely soft mouthfeel with a distinct tartness.

batch4 2009 vintage. small bottle shared with faroeviking. beware! the 2009 version is eager to leave the bottle, open in a sink and have glasses ready. pours deep red with a small pink head. looks fantastic but i always subtract points if the beer explodes out of the bottle. aroma is sour, berries, very sour slight leather. aroma is very good, balanced between extremely sour and berries. flavor is sour, very well blended, some blueberries, very refreshing. a great cantillon, very drinkable.

Bottled sample, thanks to Todeon and andersand. Pours a beutiful purple/red color with white head. Aroma is fruity with notes of bluberries and funk. Flavour is very fruity and of course tart with berries. Quite dry, but with some sweeter notes from the berries, some earthy and grassy notes even, and a balanced funkyness. Very good stuff indeed. More balanced than their standard kriek for example - though it’s still sour, it’s not as extreme and just utterly tasty.

Batch 3 pours hazy ruby color with a thin off white head. Looks almost pink. Aroma is perfect. Blueberry, some funk, tart acidic character, and a touch more blueberry. I could just smell this all night. Medium light mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. Flavor had blueberry, tart acid, funk, and had a nice balance between the fruit and the funk. The blueberry flavor was a little subdued on the taste. Otherwise this has got to be one of my favorites. Thanks Brad for sharing this!

Sampled at Houston RB tasting. Thanks to Maltomeal. Hazy, light purple color. Small white head. Nose is fruity, tart, tangy. Very effervescent, lemony, tart, tangy. I didn’t get much blueberry on this one but over a very tasty and well done beer.

March Houston Tasting. Thanks to MaltOMeal. Pours pink with bubbly head. Nose of tart blueberries and a touch of cherries. Flavor is sour blueberries, but it is not overwhelming like many Lambics can be. Dry, but not too dry. Easy to drink and very enjoyable.

750ml bottle thanks to Papsoe. Shared at the March Houston Tasting. Pours a colorful burgundy with a pink, bubbly head. Fantastic nose of blueberries. Taste is of sour blueberries. Very tasty! Mouthfeel is medium with some sourness, but not overly so. This was very drinkable.

370ml bottle. 2007 Vintage. Looks like carbonated blueberry juice. Tastes of sour blueberries and candy.

Bottle. Look: Looks like watery blueberry soup. Smell: The sour sparkling wine/vineager thing dominates the aroma. But there is also lots of berries in the background. Taste: Sour beer with a natural blueberry taste. Perfect tartness in the aftertaste. Overall: Really good fruit lambic. Not too sour, not too sweet. In Sweden a beer geek would call this a "lagom sur disktrasa".
