Commercial Description:
A blueberry lambic brewed with Danish blueberries exclusively for Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, Denmark.

There are four different vintages available that, because of the length of time the berries soaked in the beer, have turned out rather differently:

Batch 1: 2005: The berries soaked in the beer too long leaving an almost vinegarish lambic with the well-known Cantillon tartness. The color is hazy orange. Will be sold in extremely limited quantity.

Batch 2 & 3: 2007: A more fruity and not as tart lambic as the 2005 vintage. Beautiful deep red colored.

Batch 4: 2009: Maybe the most fruity batch so far with an extremely well balance between the fruit and the funk!

Batch 5: 2009: Extremely soft mouthfeel with a distinct tartness.

750ml bottle thanks to Papsoe. Shared at the March Houston Tasting. Pours a colorful burgundy with a pink, bubbly head. Fantastic nose of blueberries. Taste is of sour blueberries. Very tasty! Mouthfeel is medium with some sourness, but not overly so. This was very drinkable.

370ml bottle. 2007 Vintage. Looks like carbonated blueberry juice. Tastes of sour blueberries and candy.

Bottle. Look: Looks like watery blueberry soup. Smell: The sour sparkling wine/vineager thing dominates the aroma. But there is also lots of berries in the background. Taste: Sour beer with a natural blueberry taste. Perfect tartness in the aftertaste. Overall: Really good fruit lambic. Not too sour, not too sweet. In Sweden a beer geek would call this a "lagom sur disktrasa".

I’ve had the pleasure of tasting several bottles ( 75cl & 37.5cl) of this fine fruit Lambik; vintage 2007 Batch 1 & 2. Pours a light to medium burgundy with slight white head! Has a pleasant tart funky barnyard aroma with a touch of blueberry maybe a little cranberry in the background. Gotta love this soft tart blueberry zest; just enough to cause the lips to smack with delight. Much less acidic and sour than some other Cantillon fruit Lambics though. The mouth feel was pleasant with some carbonation along with a perfect balance of Blueberry tartness/acidity. This is definitely one of the best fruit Lambics on the market today. Thanks Jeppe for supplying all those tasty blueberries to create such a great brew.

Exceptional brew. Pours a murky red/yellow/purple, with offsetting hues of various colors. Nice lacing. Aroms is dank blueberries and funk; cheesecloth, straw, and ripening fruit. Flavor mixes a nice amount of blueberries and wet straw. Nice fruit on the front, with a sour funk on the backend. Very good.

09 bottle opened by Bobby. Much better looking clear purple with a pink head. Much fruitier. 750ml Bottle shared by Bobby91w. Pours a murky purple with a nod towards red. The nose is all about fresh blueberries. The flavor is they typical Cantillon lambic character turned down a notch or two. Oh, and the blueberries are rocking there too. I thought it was a bit thin. Other than that, really good stuff.

Rating #900. Bottle kindly shared by Anker. Wow - cloudy reddish brown body with a dark pink creamy head. Aroma is of course very acidic with notes of blueberries and hints of dust, citrus and a little wood. The palate is very soft and smooth. Flavour is very acidic but the blueberries matches the acid very well. Hints of basement, citrus and dust as well. Must be one of the best balanced sours out there.
