cheeta (858), Langå, Denmark Jan 17, 2008 Heavy yeasty aroma. Small head. Vertally none lacing. Clear, yellow body. Heavy bitter initial flavor. Watery texture. saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 Bottle. Virtually no head. Color is yellow. Aroma and taste are lactose acid and barnyard malt. Very sour and unbalanced. Drink vinegar instead. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jan 12, 2008 2005 vintage Courtesy of Degarth. My first rating of this style. Thanks. Pours hazy gold with orange hue and almost no head. The aroma is mild tartness and tart cherry fruitiness followed by solid funkiness. I also get mild vegetable-ish alcohol notes. The taste starts watery followed by a bolt of tartness that buckles the knees and causes a wince of apparent pain. The fruit noted in the nose is just noticeable on the palate. Wow. This is tart. Could use many many more years of aging. I didn’t notice any wood being that it is cask aged for three years, pity. Interesting and refreshing experience. HenrikSoegaard (4263), Randers, Denmark Jan 12, 2008 Bottle. Frothy white almost no head. Yellow colour. Light malty veryacetic aroma. All the horse-related adjectives can be used: Blanket, barnyrad and leather. Bitter and very acetiv flavor. Average finish. Oily palate. Weird experience but thats unblended lambic take it or leave it. onystrom (741), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark Jan 11, 2008 Yellow color no head. Vinegar aroma and ofc vinegar flavour. A speciel beer type so wine-like, but this is one of the best of them. FrankJohansen (3329), Sabro, Denmark Jan 11, 2008 Updated: Jul 30, 2008Bottle. presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Dec 19, 2007 Inaugural Canadian Festivus from tjthresh. My very first Unblended Lambic. Bottled Aug 22 2006. Flat lightly cloudy yellow orange. Simple salty sour nose with hints of lite fruit. Mild tame sour beer. The salty grapefruit sinks into the cheeks. Kind of like a flat mimosa made with grapefruit. Gets a little dirty and funky at the bottom of the glass. Some wood chips.
