[594-20070908] 1pt9.4floz @ Sourfest 2007 (Buffalo, NY, w/ rudolf, frylock, IPFreely, jerc, swoopjones). Weird burnt corn aroma, not in a good way. Hazy, orange brown body with very quick white bubbles. Hints of wood and sour citrus in the flavour. Medium body is a little sour. Interesting but doesn’t stand out.

Bottle bought at the brewery. Rather soft and round for a lambic, the long period in casks hase mellowed this a bit. The sourness is still in there, apples, citrus. More acid in the finish than in the body.

Bottle from the brewery. Slightly cloudy gold colour with a slight off-white head. This was dead flat. Aroma of the farmyard, with plenty of yeast and green fruit. The mouth feel was very dry with citrus flavours. Unusual.

Sampled at RBSG. Not as sour as anticipated, but a nice tart bite with a ripe fruit character. Very light spiciness.

25.4 oz bottle, 22AUG06. Clear oaky orange. A stiff pour yields a dusting of big white bubbles. Dusty lemon peel with hints of floral. Funky nose intensifies after the first sip. Almost no carb with much lighter than expected sour tang. Wavers between lemon and grapefruit juice but with softened, restrained acidity. Subtle sweet hints of pear and honey then some black pepper.
