anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden May 15, 2007 2001 bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a tart fruity barnyard aroma with some hints of wood. Tart smooth malty flavor with some acidic hints and hints of wood. Has a smooth tart malty finish. Very nice. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA May 13, 2007 [2005 bottle] Golden in color, with almost zero carbonation. Nearly-offensive aroma, musty fruit and acidic vomit (in a nice way). Incredibly complex flavors, very tart, dry fruit, wood. Very dry, puckering finish. Seems to work well with the lack of carbonation. Acidity is mild, compared to other blended Cantillon beers. Outstanding. DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA May 12, 2007 Thanks to BitchesBrew for sharing this one. No carbonation, clear golden-yellow color. Mouth-watering, funky, acidic, vinegar, woody aroma. Musty, woody, sour fruit (apple, cherry), a slight cheesy flavors. Mouthfeel was initially very smooth due to the lack of carbonation, but the finish was very dry due to the acidic nature of this brew. Overall this was not ridiculously sour, and was fairly easy to drink. Made my mouth water after each sip. Awesome stuff. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA May 5, 2007 Shared bottle, thanks to CMUBEERMAN. Hazy yellow gold, thin white head. Aroma is funky, musty, tangy, sour, makes my mouth water. Flavor is super tangy and sour, almost salty---dough, bleu cheese, fruit. Delicious. punkrkr27 (608), Berkley, Michigan, USA May 1, 2007 2004 Bottle. Gold pour with no head. Smells of the typical lambic funk, lemon, straw, fresh cut grass. Tart sour white grape flavor, funk, grassy. Not as intensely sour as and more drinkable than the fruit lambics. JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Apr 30, 2007 2005 Bottle. Pour is a clear gold with zero head. Aroma of barnyard funk, sour fruit, and oak. Nice sour flavor of tart, funk, leather, fruit, and citrus. Great flavor, but it has almost no carbonation... very strange. A very drinkable refreshing lambic, not to sour. tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Apr 30, 2007 Updated: Mar 23, 2008Bottle. Pours golden/peach color with no head. Slight citrus and must aroma. Only mildly sour and tart with a hint of fruity bitterness. The tartness increases as it warms. Rich and oily on the palate. Quite vinous. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Apr 18, 2007 Bottle (from Cantillon, ’03 Bottle ’07). Rich golden orange apple juice appearance. Soft slightly cheesey cellar aroma with light citrussy acidity. Mild earthy fruitiness in mouth and restrained sourness for Cantillon. Laid back and very drinkable but with backs of flavour. I imagine this would be more aggressive after longer in the bottle.
