Bottled (Thanks oh6gdx). Hazy golden in colour. Non existent white head. The aroma is fruity and acidic... Nice... The flavour is acidic and sour. Barrel.

Bottled (2002). Orange, hazy colour, no head. Traditional Cantillonish nose, only sourness. Flavour is enourmously dry sourness and wooden hints. Totally lovely. A good one!

Cloudy golden-yellow body with no head at all. Aroma has some apple and the type of fruity and residual sweetness that I associate with home made jams. The beer was really dry and that was a very pleasant feeling. Some apple skin, non-existent carbonation, gentle sourness and acitidy. Very soft. I loved it but I’m not yet familiar enough with the “pure” lambic style to even comment on how well it stands out or doesn’t. I mean, I come across that style of beer as often as I come across the style right-wing-gothic-anarchist-accountant.

Bottled in 2. 005. Pours a light orange shade of copper. Entirely still; no rising bubbles, no head. Sour horseblanket aroma with cobwebs, lemongrass and wood. Amazingly light on the palate with a slight sourness and a fruity flavor. Notes of lemons, strawberries, oak, mold and soil. A very interesting lambic, unlike any other I’ve tried in that it is so lightly flavored and still. Not my favorite Cantillon so far but still quite enjoyable.

Perhaps my first unblended lambic, and it’s as sour as the blendeds. In fact, I can’t tell the difference. Quite dry, fizzy and tart. Golden color.

This is my first "pure" (unblended) lambic, but I’ll do my best here as I’ve recently taken an interest in this style. This beer pours a dark yellow...and I don’t mean this in a bad way, but it looks a chardonnay that is seriously past its prime. Aroma is pure sour, with very little fruit aroma. Taste is significantly sour, with a mellow chardonnay grape flavor. It is very tasty, and I prefer the 3-year-old mellowness of this beer to the geuze that I had before it. This beer’s mouthfeel is very wine-like. The beer has very little carbonation. This near-flatness makes it a rather big in your mouth, much like a wine. Very interesting, and recommended.

75cl bottle Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio 2002. Massive thans to Phil L for this. Hazy gold, no head. Wonderful lambic aroma. Lemoney and horse blanket. Actually quite lovely in mouth not too sharp or acidic, but there is that cidery lemon fruit flavour. One of the smoothest lambics I’ve had. Plenty of sourness but balanced by a fullness in mouth and syrupy intense lemon curd fruit. Gorgeous. Refined. Acidic on end, but there is a bit of sweetness there. One of the best unblended lambics I’ve had. 4.2/5 2006 Re-rate at St Albans BF 2009. Best thing I had over the 2 days here and well worth the £7.50 it cost. Good dirnkability and totally immersive beer without the huge acidity that some Cantillon beers have. This is funky and good. Just a little more age perhaps would help. 4.3/5

2003 bottle, cloudy orange with almost no head. Aroma is very acidic, wet hessian, and mild raw apple... there are also some woody earthy notes playing in the background. The mouthful was ferociously sour, felt on the back of my nostrils, more raw wood and fruit in there too. The finish is acidic and outrageously dry. Very enjoyable.
