Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. Hazy, golden beer with some white bubbles around the rim. Sour aroma with apples and not much else. Nice though. Apples, lemon and sourness in the flavor. Thin body. A bit boring, but good. (060826)

2002 Vintage. Poured a headless, light-hazed amber with an assy/eggy aroma and a vinous, sulfuric flavor finishing with high acidity. Harsh and unenjoyable.

750mL, 2005 bottle. Hazy, golden-orange appearance; headless and still. Very funky nose - "gym socks" is definitely applicable; also lemon, a barnyard funk, some tartness. Mouthfeel isn’t quite one-dimensional; plenty of acidity, puckering; lemony flavors dominate; slightly mouth-drying; medium mouthfeel, with a long sour and citrus finish; slightest oak toastiness. Palettable; would benefit a bit from carbonation, but pretty impressive and composed for a still beer.

Pours a cloudy honey color, just a wispy white trace of a head. Quite still. Pungent aroma. Musty and musky. Sour blast of lemony citrus. Thin pungent sourness soon fills out and envelops the tongue. Funky and powerfully sour. The sourness remains long after the beer is gone. Mouth is very lightly carbonated, nearly flat. For Cantillon, it’s fairly drinkable although a sipper. This is an interesting beer but I don’t think it will be a regular.

Bottle split with after4ever. Pours a cloudy gold surmounted by a ring of foam temporarily held up by a handfull of bubbles. The aroma has plenty of funk, the "barnyard" and "horse blanket" descriptions are pretty close to the truth. Tastes a bit like lemonade made by someone who forgot the sugar. Dry finish. Kinda refreshing but probably not something I would seek out again.

750. Wow, I’m really not the right person to rate this. Pours orange-amber with minimal head; no visible carb. Smells sharply pungent; overwhelming barnyard and horse blanket; quite tart and citric. Tastes like lemon juice. And nothing else. BitBucket Jr sez "smells like athlete’s foot and @ss."

Ever-so-slightly hazed bright gold, a scotch color that is deeper. No real carbonation... just some big bubbles. Aroma is abusive dry horseblanket, sour wood that would take the paint off a building. But at the same time, there is some hidden complexity as it warms that is hard to see. Some light fruit and honey. Very unique lambic taste. It has a bit of a stale wood component, quickly followed by a moderately sour taste. If you let it drift over your tongue, it gets very sour and woody. Pretty good. Trying not to get to jizzy on it... but it is good and mellow.
