Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 17, 2004 an unclear orange beer with no head. The aroma is sour with notes of wood and peaches. The flavor is lovely sour with notes of grapefruit and a dry finish. A lovely beer. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 2, 2007 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Thomas E. Slightly hazy, pale golden with a small, white head. There’s a vague, tart Brett nose. Medium body - well, perhaps even a little watery, only moderately sour although you do indeed sense the usual Brett and horse blanket characteristics. Quite OK, but not as complex as blended Gueuzes. 280907 omhper (12153), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 30, 2002 1999 vintage: Pale golden coloured. Crystal clear. Acidic nose. Very tart, cask character, some salt. Complex like a fine whiskey. Very sour. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 5, 2007 75 cL bottle, thanks to Thomas E. Pours hazy yellow with a little lacing head. Slight classic geuze aroma but more mellow and with a slight peppery note. Quite citric to acidic flavour, dry and fruity. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jun 5, 2007 Bottle 75cl 2001 @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Opstal. Traditional Cantillonish nose, only sourness. Flavour is enourmously dry sourness and wooden hints. Totally lovely. A good one! MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Aug 10, 2006 Bottle. Sourish, earthy aroma. Dark golden colour, almost clear, no head. Totally flat, no carbonation. Sour flavour, no surprise, earthy and nice. Hint of aluminium in the aftertaste, but that wears off. joergen (8429), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 18, 2005 Updated: Oct 3, 2007Bottle.
