The usual wonderful aroma; sour and sweet, light fruitness and flowers; very light nitrates. Very nice the mouthfeel, lacking almost completely of carbonation; the resulting smoothness helps to more easily stand the sourness; strong grapefruit and pink grapefruit, young woods as well. Quite bitter. You should not miss this one! KimJohansen (7143), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Taste is lightly sweet and quite sour, fruity (mostly white grape but also some orange). Comparable to a slightly carbonated, quite dry white wine. harrisoni (6871), Ashford, Kent, England

Massive thans to Phil L for this. Hazy gold, no head. Wonderful lambic aroma. Lemoney and horse blanket. Actually quite lovely in mouth not too sharp or acidic, but there is that cidery lemon fruit flavour. One of the smoothest lambics I’ve had. Plenty of sourness but balanced by a fullness in mouth and syrupy intense lemon curd fruit. Gorgeous. Refined. Acidic on end, but there is a bit of sweetness there. One of the best unblended lambics I’ve had. 4.2/5 2006 Re-rate at St Albans BF 2009. Best thing I had over the 2 days here and well worth the £7.50 it cost. Good dirnkability and totally immersive beer without the huge acidity that some Cantillon beers have. This is funky and good. Just a little more age perhaps would help. 4.3/5 TBone (6850), Pori, Finland

Yellow, a bit hazy, no head. Sour, lambic nose. Sour, earthy, "refreshing". "Basic" high-quality unblended. bierkoning (6097), La Tropica, Netherlands
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Apr 30, 2002 Bottled in 1999. Absolutely flat beer. Strong aroma of oak, apple, honey and grapes. Only moderately sour taste with (again) honey, apple and grapes. I also found banana and citrus fruit. A wine-like beer, very complex and challenging. With every sip you discover more tastes and aroma’s. Only one ’weakness’. It could do with a bit more body. One of the best beers I have ever tasted.
