This little gem completes my 71 styles - whoopee!!! Ahem. Now then. Deep gold with absolutely no head or carbonation. Acidic, sour, slightly musty nose. Sour peach and white wine notes. Sour, tart flavors, acidic, peach, white grape, lots of flavors assaulting the tongue. Mellows out once fully warmed, and the stanky barnyardy musty hay aromas really come out. Wow, very good! Just hard to really get a handle on. travita (1910), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 12, 2004 750ml bottle from Beers of Europe. The bottle was allowed to stored at room temperature and allowed to settle, before being placed in the fridge for a little while to cool it down. The cork came out with only the slightest pop, and the beer poured clear orange, with no head or extremely little carbonation. Aroma is typical of the style, slightly woody, slightly nutty and quite sour smelling.
It must be said that the beer’s lack of carbonation is very pleasant on the tongue. Beer is VERY dry, somewhat sour and tart. Lacks the strong woody flavours that many lambics have, some wood character was still discernable. This has a definite quality of dry cider to it.
Good, but not as good as Girardin Unblended Lambic. frankenkitty (1902), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
