Entirely still; no rising bubbles, no head. Sour horseblanket aroma with cobwebs, lemongrass and wood. Amazingly light on the palate with a slight sourness and a fruity flavor. Notes of lemons, strawberries, oak, mold and soil. A very interesting lambic, unlike any other I’ve tried in that it is so lightly flavored and still. Not my favorite Cantillon so far but still quite enjoyable. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

But I still give it a go. Draft at Monks Cafe in Philly. If you like tart/sour beers. This is the beer for you. Couldn't pick anything out but the tartness. frylock (1024), Buffalo, New York, USA

A night that starts with Westy needs to end with something that can distinguish itself, and this seemed appropriate. Warm macro gold with no head other than extraneous large bubbles at the edge of the glass. Big sharp pungent lambic nose. Salty yogurt. Dry tannic oak, perhaps suggesting tea. A bit of fruity acetic acid, but not overwhelming. Carbonation is lacking, completely. Thin body, light and refreshing, like lemonade on crack. SO TART! Dry! Salty. big lactobacillus flavor. So tannic it almost tastes a bit like overbrewed tea. A bit of floral hops, surprisingly? Sharp with a good bit of acetic acid. A little sock-like. Lemon tart. Bracing. My first and hopefully not last unblended lambic. erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2006 Pours still with a somewhat murky blonde body. Aromas are as intense as any beer I have smelled. Nasty sweat socks, burnt rubber, horse blanket, a moldy mustiness and tons of acidity. The body was still and dry. The flavors are dominated by sourness. It is just intense. Finish is dry dry dry. Can’t say that I really enjoyed this, but it was an experience. kkearn (1002), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Draft, on handpump at Monk’s cafe. Pours hazy golden, with minimal off-white head. Aroma is mildly tart, with notes of mild citrus and wood. Flavor is tart, with notes of citrus, especially grapefruit, apple, and wood. Fairly flat. This is very drinkable, but I don’t find it as complex as most other Cantillons. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA

What a stupid beer. no difference between this and gueze. I was told this was supposed to be a good one too. 25% is far from that. I’m glad I can’t remember how much money i wasted on this crap. I spilled my friends glass of this and gladly gave him mine.
