| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2008 2007 bottle. Pours a tepid golden amber, no head but a few bubbles in ring, dull body. Pretty unappealing. Sour nose of must and sweat, slight cheese, and faint lemon. Tart flavor is musty lemon, a little earth, and a nice grape sweetness as a balance. With warmth additional flavors unfold for a tart and biting yet sweet and refreshing combination. Mouth is dry and thin, a little watery, and short-lived, the grape lasting longest. Very nice beer, but too weak in certain areas to warrant undying affection. MatSciGuy (635), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 21, 2008 [Bottle] shared at the Heritage Inaugural Tasting by Anya. Pours a clear straw gold with little to no head. Smells like skunk, brett, and maybe some cannabis. thin mouthfeel with a pungent sourness. Maybe a little past its prime, as it was a little watery and didn’t quite smell right. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 12, 2007 Huge thanks to Degarth for breaking this bottle out. Tough to find style, and pretty pricey usually. Apple juice colored body, very still and clear with absolutely no head. Nose is amazing, funky cheese, pickle brine, barnyard, citrus fruits, sour apples, vinegar and extremely acidic. Tastes even better, mouth puckering sourness, unforgiving and unapologetic beer. More heavy vinegar and pickle notes, cheese, oak and citrus. Medium bodied, silky smooth and amazingly drinkable despite everything that’s going on here. Finish is as good as any other part of the beer, the woodiness really shines through and the sourness again just beats you over the head. This isn’t something that your brain tells you you should be enjoying smelling or tasting, but somehow Cantillon pulls it off. Masterful. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 16, 2008 Bottled 2007. Hazy orange body, no head formed. Aroma is of vinegar, sour, caramely sweetness, and a woody perfume. The flavor is a strange mixture of slightly sour with woody, cheese rind bitter note. Smooth, without much bite, either sour or bitter. The flavor is actually subdued as to appear watered down, without being so. A kind of caramel or light fruity sweetness towards the finish. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 9, 2004 Bright orange color, no head or carbonation. Funky sour apple aroma, moldy. Of course it’s sour, but in a refined way, fruity, wood, somewhat sticky finish, mostly dry. Unique and wonderful. skaughty (621), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2006 A sour pour for sure, with a thickness that was unexpected. This bottle had clearly matured, an the vinegar and mustiness led the way. The back end was more grapefruit and other citrus. Not even a hint of sweetness.
