The aroma hints of sour grapes and apples, musty and barnyard yeast and oak wood. The taste is equally tart and flat, much likely drinking a sour table wine. Some woody and lots of yeasty notes. I get little complexity out of this at all. If this is what an unblended lambic is like, I will stay clear of them in the future. If the beer had some secondary fermentation and life on the palate, I would have enjoyed this much more. I will stick with Gueuze (blended) and Fruit Lambics. Aroma of sour fruit, yeast, some aged oak, and a touch of citrus. Taste is of tart apples, highly carbonated, light bodied and a try aftertaste. Finish is slightly acidic and then a dry aftertaste after the finish. An interesting dry, unblended lambic. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

Fairly tart and acidic flavor. It was nice though, not too much. The finish was clean. Light and refreshing. Very nice. Ughsmash (4077), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 22, 2005 Style #70! Bottle... not sure of the vintage. As expected, a slightly hazy rather pale golden pour. Not too exciting to look at. Very pungent aroma of horse blankets, vinegar, manure, and tart lemons. Lemons, leather, must, and green apple were all present in the flavor. Fruity tartness and sourness were the most dramatic components of the palate... along with a significant level of acidity. Finish was crisp, dry, and quite refreshing. The lack of carbonation felt odd at first, but really allowed the flavor to develop across the palate. This was quite enjoyable. Went well went varied with a doppleback and a mead. Cloudy yellow with no lace. Medium mouthfeel with acid that was tolerable. tart, dry finish. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2005 Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - my bottle. Poured hazy orange with virtualy no head. Aroma .. ah, I’m really getting to love these funky, sour beers - this one had sour cider, tart fruit, burned rubber, funky cheese ... mmm. Taste was a bit too mild, but still nice - to much tart non-hoppy citrus, not quite sour enough, still tasted of cheese, sour fruit, old sneakers - mouthfeel very acidic, but pretty flat, I assume that’s the style, this is my first unblended lambic - overall it grew on me, but I still prefer the geuze style with its carbonation to this on - tupalev is right, it would make a good summer patio sipping beer.
