September 2007. Bottle @ Rudolf’s ’Sourfest’. 2006 Vintage. Headless yellow body. Grassy grainy notes to the aroma with lightly floral character and something like lemon juice/vinegar. (6+) Sharp sour bit up front but it is actually surprisingly mild the rest of the way. Lemon acidity. (6+) Average palate lacks carbonation. 6/3/6/3/12 - 3.0 <P>2002 Vintage, rated April 2006 Tasted at Brewnosers Meeting. Lightly hazy golden body with no head. Tart/sour horse blanket aroma. Still bodied light palate. Lemon citrus juice, sourness ranges from pleasant and refreshing to mouth puckeringly intense as the glass goes on. Interesting and surprisingly accessible. 7/3/6/3/14 - 3.3

This unblended lambic pours a hazy orange yellow color form a 750ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is sour, tart, yeasty and fruity. A medium bodied lambic. Tart, citrusy and lemmonish. Touch of barnyard and funk. Some hay and still a lot of citrus. The carbonation is greatly subdued. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is very crisp and extremely dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

This bottled brew was sampled at a rating party in Indianapolis at Dick’s Bodacious BBQ on 3/31/06. It poured a fully diminished head. The body was hazy with a light yellow brown color. The aroma contained sour Lambic doughy notes. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish with a mild acidic note. The flavor was sour and musty.

Bottle. [Courtesy of Thomas_E, quality tasting @ Papsoe] Real unblended stuff, expecting some raw Lambic, but was surprised over its sophisticated and soft complex bouquet. Spare fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Cloudy orange like color. Aroma was of course the well know Cantillon and as I perceive it with notes of perfume, barnyard, leather. Underlying wheat, caramel and fresh apple and sour berries. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sour notes with good counter sweetness. Sour finish. 28-09-2007

Bottle (2001) - thanks to Jannik. Cloudy amber - no head. Dry wood, light sourness, earthy, light grape, light citrus, nice apple juice. Too mild.

Tasting@beermouth. 75 cl bottle bought at Biertempel, Brussels. Cloudy orange with a sprinkly off white head. Sour acidic, vinegar, Fresh & crisp. Wood/cask notes. Bitingly sour on the tongue & cheeks. This, I think, was a breakthrough for my gueze career. Highly enjoyable!

(Bottled, 2003 vintage) Slightly hazy golden with almost no head. Tart, but sweetish aroma of apricot and grainy wheat. Tart, very fruity flavor with apricot and white grapes. Light to medium-bodied, very flat and pretty dry palate. A very smooth, easily drinkable and enjoyable lambic (yes, I can see the difference between this and the earlier rating :). (Bottled, 0.75l, 2001 vintage) Slightly hazy apple juice color with almost no head. Tart, sour, wheaty aroma. Quite sour, somewhat acidic flavor with apples and wheaty malt. Medium-bodied, dry and sour, quite astringent palate with very low carbonation. A nice and tasty lambic, but long bottle conditioning makes it less drinkable (much more sour) than the fresh unblended ones.

Bottle 750ml. Pours an orange golden body with a thin white lacing and a thin stream of co2. Light honey and spices, and woody apple hints. Citric and lactic acid but not over powering at all. Some fruity citric notes and light woody funk notes. This is absolutely delicious, very impressive.
