2001 bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a tart fruity barnyard aroma with some hints of wood. Tart smooth malty flavor with some acidic hints and hints of wood. Has a smooth tart malty finish. Very nice.

750 ml Bottle via trade with WeeHeavySD (Thanks!). Pours a cloudy orange/amber color with no head whatsoever. A very fruity aroma, lemon, grapefruit, apples, and a sharp acidic twist. Flavor is wonderful. First, the brew comes off with a sharp acidic flavor then softly mellows to an oak note that is quite appealing. The citrus and acidity linger throughout but are not overpowering at all. Palate is nice and dry but surprisingly refreshing. Overall, This might be my favorite Lambic yet this is definitely a winner in my book. Cheers!!!

Great coloring of nice gold with some minimal white head. Good sour apple aroma, some pickle or other tart aromas. Excellent tartness, some cheese tasting at the start, ending in a clean apple leading again back to chedder. Very nice and smooth end, very little puckering in the mouth.

4 oz sample

I had the chance to try this at the Buckeye Beer Engine during a special sour ale sampling. It was worth every penny of the $3 I paid. Given the cost for a full 750ml I probably won’t be springing for one any time soon even if I could find it. Even so if I happen to run across this again I will certainly not pass it up.

Aroma / Appearance - The honey colored body was flat and lifeless. The scent of dry white wine tickled the nose along with an orange base, white grapes and an oaky base. For a lambic it was very gentle.

Flavor / Palate - The tartness was not nearly as strong as I thought it would be. Sour, dry and a little woody it was chewy and dense. As expected it did dry out the throat. Reminding me of a dry white wine it was excellent all the way to the final drop.

2004 bottle at Kaisla, Helsinki. A bit hazy with no head. A fruity aroma, faint. The taste can best be described as a kick in your face! Fantastic - try this if you can.

750 ml bottle. A cloudydark golden beer with no head. The aroma is very yeasty, with underlying maltiness and notes of lemon, grapefruit, wood, earth, maybe mushrooms. Intense nose. Normal sweetness in the flavour, with much acidity (though not the most acidic Cantillon). Some white wine characteristics, woody and earthy. Medium body, almost no carbonation, dry long finish with light bitterness. Complex and with very good aroma and flavour, but something keeps it to be a real amazing beer for my palate, maybe the lacking carbonation or the lighter Cantillon body I have found. However very worthy.

Beautiful lambic. Srong vinegar aroma. Pour was a light gold with no head. Taste was amazing. Strong vinegar, lemon and yeast with a heavy acidic aftertaste. There is some woodiness and earthiness to this beer which was unexpected. Man I could drink this everyday!
