Hazy yellow colour with a white head. Malty, fruity and yeasty aroma with notes of flowers and dust. Malty, tart fruity flavor with citric yeasty notes.

Cloudy dark golden pour with no head. Excellent aroma of tart fruits, cheese and barnyard. Sadly the flavor is not as amazing as the aroma, there is tartness, mild cheese and barnyard, the finish is sweet and tart. The body is light with a liquorous texture and very low carbonation. One of the mellower Cantillon products, damn.

750mL thanks to Dr. Bill. Horsey wild grunge with an almost lemon goat cheese lactic flush. Mexican cilantro floralness kicks in and runs through the nostrils. Pours a clouded pale gold. Crushing sour tannic flavor, with raging earthy mustiness. Sewer notes? Very parching and old, with fresh bandages. Astonishing acidity and finishes with a hop-lavender flutter. Smacks on lemon pith. A little coarse and biting, but somewhat endearing.

A apple aroma almost winelike. A medium golden color. No carbonation and a light apple flavor. A different kind of beer but enjoyable.

750mL, 2005 bottle. Hazy, golden-orange appearance; headless and still. Very funky nose - "gym socks" is definitely applicable; also lemon, a barnyard funk, some tartness. Mouthfeel isn’t quite one-dimensional; plenty of acidity, puckering; lemony flavors dominate; slightly mouth-drying; medium mouthfeel, with a long sour and citrus finish; slightest oak toastiness. Palettable; would benefit a bit from carbonation, but pretty impressive and composed for a still beer.

Almost clear amber/orange with a few big bubbles that don’t really qualify as a head. Don’t know why they felt the need to cork the bottle. Aroma of grapes, lemons and extreme sourness. Vinous and dry taste. Very sour. Pretty good, but I’m not looking forward to the two or three glasses it will take to polish off the bottle.
On second thought, I’ll re-cork it. It’s not like it’ll lose carbonation.

Bottle. Thanks for sharing this one ChristianScheffel. Pours golden coloured with almost no head. Very funky aroma with notes of musty cellar, citrus, wood and vinegar. Flavours of honey, balsamic vinegar, spice, wood and lemons.

Vintage 2003, 37.5cl. Golden, no head. Sharp sour aroma, cellar and a lot of barnyard. Tart, cellary flavor with earth and apple seeds. Sediment adds a tannic bite & a bit of grapefruit. Flat palate. In the end this felt somehow gentle, probably due to the lack of carbonation.

edit. Had this one again the other night. Ammonium, funk, cellar and sourness. A beer for the connoisseurs, medieval in a glass.
