| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2004 Pours clear, light, golden orange with absolutely no head and just about zero carbonation. Aroma: Sour, yeast, lots of wood, earth, sour grapes, almost wine like, unripened tangerine, dandelion, sweat, barnyard. Taste: Initially slightly puckering, sour, some acidic oak-like notes, almost citrus (lemon, tangerine, lime), has many characteristics similar to wine, vanilla, watery. I don’t like the complete lack of carbonation here; some carbonation would make this beer crisper on my palate, though maybe my bottle was just off by some chance. Sticky palate, finishes almost like you have a coating on your teeth and mouth. My first unblended and this is pretty good. pineypower (1103), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA

Pulled out the cork with little to no carbonation. Pours out a slightly cloudy orange color. If you shook the glass enough a tiny head appeared. Aroma very sour and vinous, with some earthy oak undertones. Flavor was tart and sour, earthy oak notes, some citrus. Interesting, but I don’t know if it was worth the price tag. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 3, 2005 Courtesy of Pailhead. Light golden in color with no head. Very nice musty/sour aroma. Initial flavor is all sour lemon-esque, little vinegar through the middle, but fades to nothing quickly. A little thin. Underpar for these guys. KimJohansen (7128), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Sampled on Tap at Monk’s Cafe’ in Philadelphia. Aroma was predominatly sour with a spicy, sweaty character. This pour was pretty much still thus there was no head and the aormatics did not belie the flavor. Flavor was dominated by by the brett character with a earthiness and backed by a subtle light maltiness midpalate. Sour acidic finish sets in and finish is very wine-like. Mouthfeel is a mix of slightly slick residual sugar and drying acidity. Wheat presence not necessarily noted but probably added a bit of richness. Carbonation would make the beer a bit more excting on the palate. Overall, a very sour, lambic beer that could have been better and a bit richer, but still worth the sample, especially on draft! fredandboboflo (1417), East Setauket, New York, USA

Light fruity notes, even berries, in the flavor with some funk. Grows while in the glass. Lack of carbonation doesn’t help the mouthfeel. Decent. BoBoChamp (1394), Gent, Belgium
