| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Bottle from Dranken Geers. Hazy orange gold with disappearing head. Yep, it’s got apricot on aroma, with some funk. Pretty well carbonated. It’s an odd mix of sweet apricot fruit and a full on dry sharp lemony lambic. The aroma is what? Funk and sweet apricot. Really acidic sharp finish. Not sure that I like it that much. Nice in mouthfeel with sharp stewed apple. Very dry on end. Well made, nothing wrong with it, but not for me. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Yeah...this is the bomb I’ve had many Cantillon’s and been to the brewery, and this apricot funky sour masterpiece and the Lou Pepe fruity concoctions rock Cloudy copper-apricot. Giant aroma of sour, funky apricot. Taste is mouth puckering but delicious in the sour arena ... barnyard and horse blanket, acidic, apricot and other tart fruits with just enough sweetness to keep it intriguing. Ages well. hiddenvariable (194), pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2008 bottled in 2004, drunk in march 2008. pours a hazy cloudy straw honey color, with a thin white head that fades quickly. oh my what a smell! abundant sour apricot--dominating, but not overpowering--sour funky cantillon yeast, lemon zest, and a very light honey malt. very light apricot taste, some lemon, some pale malt, but oh dear me that’s sour! some grapey notes kick in here and there as well, maybe some grass and some must and some vinegar. finshes, guess what? sour! light sweetness, i’d call it dry, but my mouth waters so much after that it’s hard to tell. very acidic. light body, with a great texture from the carbonation. great stuff. the apricots are there in just the right abundance, and there’s a ton of acidity and sourness, but enough complexity to keep it from being one-dimensional. i put a lot of money into it, but i’m quite glad i did. the smell reminds me of the trolli gummy hamburger buns, if anyone knows what i mean.
