Aroma is a bit sulfurous, lots of apricot, and funk and blanket and mineral. Taste is apricot and punchy, blanket, oak, and barnyard. Leaves soft and sweet, but still sour and approachable. Finishes a bit too sweet. Needs some crispness. The wheatiness is still too present in the sweetness. I get a bit more sulfur and cheese out of this. Holy shit, I want some bleu cheese with this. Very stellar. Needs 5 years at least.

Don’t give up after the first whiff or sip. Hazy, light orange coloured body with minimal head. Fairly sour after the first sip and second and third but as you drink more and also let it warm up it really grows on you. Apricot and lemon and a bit of peach in the taste also the funk . Good beer.

(bottle, 2007) pours a hazy golden colour with a foamy white head. zesty, fruity aroma of apricot pulp, straw, candied sugar and barnyard. flavour is sour apricots and light funk with a sweet bready finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation and a tart fruity finish. nicely balanced, not as intensely funky as other examples.

Vintage 2003. Pours a hazy orange golden body with a thin white head. Loads of lemon and lactic acid, its actually a dam big acid bomb, the apricot is very much subdued in the end. I had heartburn by the second sip, i was the only one to finish this, i hope i just had an off bottle or vintage.

A nice treat from a recent tasting. Poured a cloudy gold with a white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma of tart fruit - apricot. Taste is pretty tart and dry with some other fruit notes coming in. I’m not a big apricot fan (aside from beer) and this has plenty of other complex features to distract the apricot. Mouth is well carbonated and full. FInish is tart.

Tap @ Akkurat. Nice hazy orange with quickly vanishing white head. Apricot found mainly in aroma, which is sour and fruity. Flavor is mostly sour, as it should be. Crispy feel to go with the sourness. Extra refreshing but leaves your mouth dry and wanting for more. Different but enjoyable.

Corked and capped 750 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. The top of the cork was moldy and rotten, but it didn’t seen to affect the beer. At least not noticeably. According to the beer guy at Wine Warehouse this is either a 2000 or 2001 bottling. Pours an extremely hazy peach color with a small creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Tart aroma with notes of peach, apricot, sour citrus, apricot pits, strawberry, melon ad a slight barnyard funk. Taste is very tart and very dry... possibly more than any sour beer I’ve had. Strong sour citrus notes including lemon and grapefruit, apricot, scuppernong and slight barnyard. Full bodied.
